1. Introduction

Welcome to LiftJournal ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application LiftJournal (the "App").

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

• Email Address: Provided by Apple or Google when you sign in, used for account authentication
• Name: Optional, for personalization

Workout Data

• Exercise names and types
• Workout sets, reps, and weights
• Workout dates and times
• Custom workout routines
• Personal records and statistics

Usage Data

• Which features you use in the App, for example starting or finishing a workout, creating a routine, completing onboarding or starting a subscription
• Your account ID, app version, device model and operating system version

Usage data does not include your email, your name or anything you type.

Feedback

If you open Feedback in the App, we collect your account ID, email, name, the feedback you post and any photos you attach.

Voice Input

If you use Voice Input in the App, we collect the text of the sets you dictate, used to read the weight and reps.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the App
• Store and sync your workout data
• Calculate fitness statistics
• Send important App updates
• Improve user experience
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it (product analytics)
• Collect and respond to your feedback
• Read the weight and reps from sets you dictate with Voice Input

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We implement encryption, secure authentication, and regular security updates.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We share data only with the service providers listed below, and when required by law:

• Supabase: Hosts your account and workout data.
• PostHog: Product analytics. Receives the usage data described above. IP addresses are not stored. PostHog Privacy Policy
• UserJot: Our feedback board. Receives the feedback data described above. Posts on the feedback board are visible to other users of the board. UserJot Privacy Policy
• Anthropic: Processes the text of a set you dictate to read the weight and reps. Anthropic Privacy Policy

These providers process your data only for the purposes described in this policy and protect it at least as well as this policy requires.

6. Your Rights

• Access your data
• Correct your information
• Delete your account in the App
• Export your workout data

Account deletion. You can delete your account in the App under Profile. Your account and workout data are deleted immediately.

7. Children's Privacy

LiftJournal is not for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to Policy

We may update this policy. We'll notify you of changes by updating the date above and posting in the App.
